We are absolutely bursting with pride for our lovely Rocky Mountain Mare, Beauty, following her first ever show experience at the Oakridge Halloween Show last weekend!
Taking a young horse to their first event is always a significant step, and Beauty, who is still very much in training and not a seasoned competitor, handled the atmosphere and the pressure like a true professional.
She entered three classes and showed remarkable consistency and willingness:
- Open VRH Ranch Riding
- Ranch Trail Spectacular (3rd Place! ๐ฅ)
- Open VRH Trail

Education, Not Competition
As we always say, the goal of showing at this stage is to Improve, not to Prove. Every outing is a crucial part of a horseโs education. This weekend was all about exposure, confidence building, and confirming the hard work weโve been putting in at home. Her willingness to step up and try every challenge truly made her a star.
A massive well done to Beauty for navigating the busy showground and those tricky Ranch Trail obstacles so brilliantlyโsnagging a 3rd place in the Ranch Trail Spectacular was the icing on the cake!
